How to render layer [ Tutorial Maya ]

This tutorial is basic render layer.

simply Ex. >> Now you Create sphere and plane and set scene like this picture.


>> Start creat Layer >> Click tab Render >> Create empty layer.

Double click layer and change layer name ball , shadow , bg.


now assign object to layer .
>> ball
assign to layer ball and in layer shadow assign ball and plane , layer bg assign plane. when you click each one layer you look.



click active in layer ball and creat light , light will in layer ball auto and click active layer shadow
select light in outliner >> right click on layer shadow and add selected object for add light in layer shadow.



in layer shadow select plane and assign shade " use background" .
Set shade use background
specular color is black because i don't want specular. Set reflectivity and reflection limit to 0 because i don't want reflect and set shadow mask to 1 for this object receive shadow.



in layer shadow select ball and open attribute editor >> tab render stats >> primary visibility off because i don't want to render ball model but Maya will render shadow of ball in this layer



>> active layer bg and assign light in to layer bg same assign light to layer shadow.
>>
open render view >> render >> option box



>> select composite and keep layers



>> open render view again >> render >> check Render all layers



>> render view and render



slide tab to view render
